Acupuncture

Japanese Style Acupuncture focuses on the root cause of a person's health issues.  The treatment goal is to assist your body's capacity to heal itself by strengthening any weaknesses in organ meridians, to unblock any stagnation of blood or energy, and to relax muscles.  Sterile, micro-fine, filaments of surgical grade steel, are superficially placed on acupuncture points to give the body signals to heal itself.

Acupuncture points are used to treat the meridians, which nurture all organs, to support their health. The points, which are located all over your body, communicate with each system (nervous, endocrine, digestive, immune, cardiovascular, urinary, respiratory, etc.) to strengthen them.  Motor points, located on each muscle, are used to quickly relax tension and tightness.

What does Acupunture Treat?

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a  2,500-5,000 year old medicine in which meticulous longitudinal, case study research was conducted.  Acupuncture is proven to effectively treat a broad variety of physical ailments and emotional distress.  It significantly enhances recovery after surgery and after chemotherapy treatment. It increases blood circulation, reduces inflammation, stimulates the body's healthy immune response and relaxes musculature.

Acupuncture & Mental Health

Acupuncture can be a powerful tool for supporting mental health by balancing the body’s energy and addressing underlying emotional and physical imbalances. It works by stimulating specific points in the body that influence the nervous system, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while promoting relaxation. Acupuncture also encourages the release of endorphins and other feel-good neurotransmitters, which can help improve mood, enhance sleep, and foster a sense of overall well-being. By treating both the mind and body, acupuncture offers a holistic approach to mental health care.
